I am a 46 year old who has had several bouts of inability to breath. I have had all the test avaolable and was told to try bio-feedback for a non-functioning diaphram. The docs are guessing that this is the problem, and are unsure of what else to do. Could bio-feedback really help if this is the problem? Any advice is appreciated. Mary.

I'm a PhD candidate at Jagiellonian University in Poland, and I'm writing a dissertation on restricted environmental stimulation. REST-research are hardly known in Poland, actually there aren't any books or other publications on the subject in Polish (foreign books, specialist periodicals are rather inaccessible). So I've some problems with gathering relevant material. I'm also interested in translating to Polish a few articles or book chapters. I'm going to be starting biofeedback for an irregular heart beat called premature atrial contractions. I'm kind of in this terrible cycle where my fight or flight mechanism is out of wack and too sensitive to stimuli. The anxiety causes PAC's which cause anxiety that causes PAC's. Right now the PAC's is the only real major stressor in my life, since they have definitely affect the quality of my life. I would be interested about the success of biofeedback therapy on this. Thank you for your information on biofeedback. I have a son that is doing EEG Biofeedback for speech and short term memory probablys. We also are giving it to him for seizures. We have only run him 8 times and seen great progress. I am trying to read all I can about EEG Biofeedback, if you know of more places I can go to find out more please let me know. These are heat sensitive items which are applied to the skin and help individuals identify ( by color ) the stress or relaxation level of the individual. I'm looking for any info available on biofeedback training for children with fecal and urinary incontinence. What are the most accepted regimens (frequency, duration of sessions) and equipment used? What are the most successful? Are there any portable systems? If so, are these as functional as the non-portable types? How do systems compare and contrast? Any info would be appreciated. Looking for information about controling heart rate from rest to an active state, when the sinus node has been damaged in surgery. This has to do with a young athlete preparing to play active sports like hockey or lacrosse. Sometimes his heart stays at a resting rate and he isn't able to participate. Are there biofeedback techniques to allow him to "jump-start" his heart? Theodore A Tighe.

I have two children with ADHD, they both take a lot of medication. I read about Biofeedback being an effective treatment for ADHD, and I would like to learn how to administer the EEG Biofeedback to my children. I am graduating in the field of Special Education and plan to master in Social Work. What type of licensing do I need to have? Is there a certification in neurofeedback training that I should obtain?
